Qluve · AI companion robot

Discontinued

An AI companion for care homes.

Qluve was a voice-powered companion robot for elderly and disability care, built by Ilu Space. It held real conversations, noticed changes in mood, reminded residents about medication, and kept caregivers in the loop — before being discontinued.

What Qluve Did

Not a gadget on a shelf. Qluve was an active part of daily care, used by real residents every day.

01

Natural voice conversations

Residents talked to Qluve like a friend — about the weather, their day, old memories, or just for company. It spoke 50+ languages.

02

Mood detection & alerts

Every conversation was checked for signs of loneliness, anxiety, confusion, or pain, and caregivers got prioritized alerts.

03

Medication & activity reminders

Spoken reminders for medication, hydration, exercise, and appointments — with a follow-up if one was missed.

04

Two-way caregiver messaging

Residents left voice messages for staff, and caregivers could reply or broadcast announcements to the whole facility.

In Real Care Homes

They named it. They introduced it to visitors.

When trial periods ended, residents didn't want to give Qluve back. It stopped being technology and became part of their day.

“You can ask it about the weather, whose name day it is, or what's a good crime series on Netflix. You can set reminders to wake up or do physical therapy exercises. Yeah it's quite nice.”

How It Worked

Built so care staff needed no technical expertise to run it.

  1. 1

    Place & power on

Staff set Qluve next to the resident and plugged it in. It joined Wi-Fi on its own and was assigned to a resident from the caregiver dashboard.

  2. 2

    Residents start talking

Residents said “Hey Clue” or touched the sensor. No buttons, no screens — just conversation, with replies in about a second.

  3. 3

    Caregivers stay informed

Mood trends, reminders, voice messages, and automatic alerts all lived in one staff dashboard.
